š Something to Ponder
Donāt kill the part of you that is cringe, kill the part of you that cringesĀ
How I interpreted it was by killing the latter, you are able to do anything. At the start of anything you do, there is a āeat shitā phase. Itās just how it is - but if you cringe too hard about going through that phase you never attempt it.
Iāve definitely walked this walk, the past 2 years basically everything you know me for now or attempted I felt very cringe doing. (social media, stripping, stage, education videos, this newsletter, sharing topless photos etc).
Iāve wanted to headbutt walls I feel so cringe sometimes but I know itās for a purpose and ill just eventually get better at the dam thing Iām trying to do. The most recent cringe thing id say Iām doing and sharing is dancing - I cannot dance for absolute shit - too stiff, no rhythm, just awkward - but now with a few beginner dance classes I can move a little better, a little more fluid, and less awkward. Again I know if I hit the skill enough times ill get good eventually - so at the end of the year ill look like I know what Iām doing, in the meantime you just keep pushing through.
What Diet/ Training program will work for me:
Whats the best training program for me? The one you'll do
Keto, Fasting, Carnovore? Strength training, Bodybuilding, CrossFit?
Many questions were asked about these from the past newsletter and my question back is the same for all of them.
Which one will you do?
I think they all work, they have for 1000s of others so why not you?
But they all require consistency, so instead of which one will work āfor meā, ask, Which one will I be consistent with?
Results are from consistency over a period of time. The End.
If you are still lost, Iāve always advocated seeing a professional
Iāve learned a lot over my 10+ years of training and I still like to use and learn from a coach who does this full-time - if thatās not financially an option, there is a mountain of free good content online
šŗ What I'm Watching
The Witcher -Finished season 3 now have to wait till the end of the month for the next few episodes š
šŖ Bodybuilding
Bodyweights maintain 91.7kg at 3600 cal average. The new training program is fkd (in a good way) and will continue for up to 4 weeks before deloading and checking the results
š What I'm Working On
Stage performance upgrades š I donāt want to say too much about it but Iām playing with ideas with adding in a section with backup dancers, upgrading a current song I have, and updating the choreography with it
Problemās are complex. Solutions are simple
Until next time, Dr. Josh.
I love your articles! Consistency is definitely key! Many people give up too soon. It takes a few weeks to get rid of cravings. Hiring a coach, preferably one who walks the walk, is a huge help. It is the one thing that keeps me from reaching for the foods I'm craving in my weak moments. I hired one of the best in the world (4x World Champion) who only takes on serious clients so I don't take that for granted. My weekly check-ins keep me accountable. The bodybuilding lifestyle isn't for everyone, it's hard, but people can still make changes not as drastic as bodybuilding and get healthy. I chose bodybuilding because I have set goals and its the only way to reach them. I made my goals more important than eating some of the foods I love. People have to choose something they will stick with and may have to make small changes at a time. I think a strong mindset is also key. Anyone can stick with a plan for awhile. People need to really be mentally invested in the lifestyle changes. A strong mindset is what will pull people through the tough times when they want to quit. I know there have been times I really don't want to go to the gym after work so I have to dig deep mentally and just drag myself in there and do it. Set goals, be determined and be dedicated to those goals no matter what. Consistency will follow. Also... a good chiropractor lol. With all I do, I would not be able to function without one š
Ur most DEFINITELY getting better at dancing!!!!!! Practice makes perfect!!!!
